Dear Friends,
I want to share how one family was impacted by AO Mongolia's LifeSkills Values Education program.
Sura is a 6th grade student who attends AOM's LifeSkills class in Nalaikh. She recently shared with Munguu, our LifeSkills teacher, that her mother has had a problem with alcohol for the last five years. She would often leave Sura and her sister alone for days until they run out of food.
The team visited Sura’s home and gave them a box full of food. Sura's mother Oyunaa brightened with a smile. After receiving prayer, Oyunaa's demeanor softened, as if a weight had been lifted off her shoulders. She began to share her story...

She spoke of the abuse she endured at the hands of her partner, the pain of losing her precious baby boy during childbirth, and the overwhelming grief that followed. It was a story of immense loss, heartache, and the desperate search for solace in the midst of despair.
Oyunaa's revelation deeply moved our team, reminding them of the silent battles that many in our community face behind closed doors. Yet, her bravery in opening up also filled us with hope – hope for healing, for redemption, and for the possibility of a brighter tomorrow.
In a moment of vulnerability, Oyunaa expressed a desire to seek refuge in the embrace of faith. With trembling hands, she asked if she could come to church, seeking a sanctuary where she could find peace, support, and perhaps a glimmer of hope amidst the darkness.

Sura's courage to confide in Munguu about her family's struggles highlights the profound impact of our LifeSkills program. We believe in providing not just education, but also a safe space for children like Sura to share their burdens. Through this, we are seeing families transformed. God is so good!
As we continue to uplift Sura and her family in prayer, let us also extend our prayers for Oyunaa's complete recovery. May she find solace and healing on her journey, and may our team in Mongolia continue to be a source of strength and compassion for those in need.
Rich blessings,
