Dear Friends,
A household that lacks hygiene and sanitation can be difficult to live in. It can be hard to keep things clean, and there are often health risks associated with living in unsanitary conditions. These families suffer constant illness which result in interruptions to education and severe economic loss within their communities.
The Household WASH (Water & Sanitation Health) project was designed to provide families in Northern Cambodia and Southern Laos with sanitation facilities, hygiene education and access to safe water sources.
Along with funds that have already been committed, we are looking to raise $10,000 CAD to meet our goal of helping 500 families.
Your gift of $300 CAD will provide one household with a long-lasting ceramic filter and a latrine. It will also include important sanitation health training and followup visits to ensure the latrines remain in optimum condition.
In villages without access to a good water source, we will also drill a community well. Not too bad for $300 per family! For those who would like to cover the cost of one well, that will be approximately $2,000 CAD.
We will be working alongside local church leaders to target the most vulnerable families in these rural areas. Along with bringing clean water and sanitation to those who desperately need it, our hope is to share His powerful message of hope and transformation.
Warm blessings,
Commentaires
